Cala'n Blanes, Los Delfines, Torre del Ram

It is a narrow cove with an area of fine sand, and an unusual feature for the beaches of Menorca: just behind the sun lounger area, but still on the sand, there is a well-enclosed palm grove that provides consistent shade and houses a beach bar with a few tables. This small cove in the west, a short distance from Ciutadella, has a hotel a few meters from the beach and the urbanization itself. The cove has several small cabins (generally small houses) and some villas on its edges right on the edge of Cala'n Blanes, and it receives visits from boats coming from other nearby coves or from the Port of Ciutadella itself, just 2 km away. The beach of Cala'n Blanes is small but very nice; it has a bar in the middle of a dense and curious palm grove right at the end of the beach sand

.

Cala'n Blanes has all kinds of services, a varied gastronomic offer, and very curious corners to get lost in for a while. A veteran among tourist coves, it offers a varied menu of services to tourists, including the rental of cars, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, or tricycles for family travel, and on the beach, the rental of accessories for nautical leisure and sea excursions.

The urbanization of Los Delfines is located between The beach next to the Hotel Los Delfines, right at the end of a narrow rocky channel with a small beach that then widens to give way to this sandy areaCala en Brut and Cales Piques. It does not have a beach, but the areas are set up for swimming; a good example is Cala'n Forcat, a hairpin-shaped cove due to its two entrances which, like Cala en Brut, has a number of platforms

Excursions:

This area in general has a long tourist tradition and although it does not have many beaches, the most appropriate areas for swimming have been conditioned with platforms and stairs to facilitate access, so you can go on a tour

view of the virgin area of Pont d'en Gil (Gil's Bridge), a stone arch created by the erosion of the sea on the rocks of the coast in the furthest west of Menorca

The excursion you must not miss in this area is to Pont d'en Gil, a natural bridge created by the sea on a rocky breakwater that forms part of Caleta Segonya next to the cape of Menorca or Bajolí

The municipal racetrack is also very close.

The hermitage of Sa Farola is located behind the lighthouse at the entrance to the Port of Ciutadella, on the other side of the Castle of Sant Nicolau and on the coastal road to Cala'n Blanes and Los DelfinesAccess:

leaving Ciutadella, take either the new road to Cala'n Blanes or the Sa Farola road; the latter is prettier as it goes around the lighthouse at the entrance to the Port of Ciutadella and continues along the coast until it reaches the first inlet of the sea, which is precisely Cala'n Blanes. For the other coves, follow the same route.

Description of the points marked on the map of the Cala'n Blanes area

Red arrow circuit:

1- ) Roundabout, recently created, which connects the tourist areas of the north and south of Ciutadella without having to access the city center itself. At this point (1) we can turn right until the point that indicates the exit to Cala'n Blanes, which will be on the left at a roundabout intersection

2 - ) If we pass the first access road and enter the urban center of Ciutadella, at this point (2) we find ourselves in the hub of the urban streets of Ciutadella. Straight ahead is the pedestrian area of the old town of Ciutadella; to the left, we head towards Plaza de los Pinos and the Plaza de Es Born (Town Hall Square); and to the right, looking to go around the old town of Ciutadella and passing through the north coast of the Port of Ciutadella, we will take the exit to Sa Farola, the popular name locals call the lighthouse at the mouth of the Port of Ciutadella. The hermitage of Sa Farola is also located at this point

3 - ) Point where you must turn left to head to all the urbanizations in the north of Ciutadella, this is Cala'n Blanes, Los Delfines, Cala'n Brut, Cala'n Forcat, Torre del Ram, and Cales Piques.

4 - ) Roundabout at the entrance to the urbanization of Cala'n Blanes, turn left to the beach of Cala'n Blanes, turn right to the center of the urbanization and the road to other urban areas and the large hotels in the northern area of Ciutadella

5 - ) Cala'n Blanes Beach, a small but comfortable beach with all services for the tourist. Its main characteristic: it is the only beach in Menorca that has a dense palm grove right where the beach swimming area ends; in its shade is the beach bar (chiringuito)

Blue arrow circuit:

6 - ) At this point (6) is where the road is taken from the urban area of Ciutadella to go to Cala'n Blanes and the urbanizations of the north of Ciutadella, Cala'n Blanes, Los Delfines, Cala'n Brut, Cala'n Forcat, Torre del Ram, and Cales Piques, and even the entire north coast of the Port of Ciutadella and the current location of the Maritime Station of Ciutadella, the boarding point for passengers on the ferries that communicate primarily with Cala Ratjada, Alcudia, and the Port of Palma on the island of Mallorca

7 - ) Cala'n Busquet, mooring area, recently remodeled, within the area of the Port of Ciutadella. Passing in front of Cala'n Busquet, you can stop at the pine forest next to the road (Mediterranean pines) to see the Port and Ciutadella from the high area on the other side of the Port. The large building right in front and at the very edge of the water is the Yacht Club of Ciutadella.

8 - ) Point where the lighthouse at the entrance to the Port of Ciutadella is found, "Sa Farola". Next to it is the hermitage, photo just above the map. From here to Cala'n Blanes, the road runs along the coast by the sea.

From here we can visit all the urbanizations and access the hotels and residential complexes on the north coast of Ciutadella.
